Grand Café is located within South Western House, a Grade II* listed building that is steeped in history. Once Southampton’s grandest hotel, South Western House was used by first class passengers of the ill fated Titanic and its history dates back to 1865. The former Wedgewood Ballroom of the old hotel is now home to a wonderfully unique and magnificent function venue.

Directions: Located in the centre of Southampton, close to Ocean Village. Cafe Grand is on the ground floor of South Western House on Terminus Terrace.

Grand Café is designed to be bursting with an eclectic mix of classic British styles and delightful flamboyance, offering an exciting dining area for any event or function complete with the original ballroom dance floor. The varied function menus are principally European and Mediterranean and cooked with great attention to detail using locally sourced fish, meats and other seasonal produce wherever possible.

Every Year, Grand Café host a wide range of corporate functions, private parties, charity and other events that include annual calendar occasions; The Ship Owners Association Ball, Lord’s Taverners Burns Night, Lord’s Taverners St George’s Day Luncheon, Cheltenham Race Days, Royal Ascot and the ever popular Beaujolais Day celebration for up to 200 guests plus hosting the annual Lord’s Taverners Charity Golf Day.

Rubys at The Grand

Rubys at The Grand is a unique separate space available for exclusive hire for corporate events, business meetings, parties, weddings and private dining. Rubys provide a distinctive facility that combines creativity with the very highest standards of quality and service.

Each year, the venue hosts a wide range of events and private functions, which celebrate annual calendar events such as Burns Night, Cheltenham Race Day, St Georges Day and the popular Beaujolais Day.
