There are few people that can claim to have stayed the night on a small island located in the waters of the Solent, enjoying views to the coast of Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight. Of these few, even less will have enjoyed a business event, launch or team building day at sea.
The Solent Forts are unique man-made structures first put in place to do the job of protecting the country from a possible French invasion.
These days one of the main jobs of the forts is to provide inspiration to visitors, whether looking for a break from the everyday or teams of businesses looking to create an event that is unlike anything delegates attending have seen before.
Now these two private island hotels, No Man’s Fort and Spitbank Fort, are available for exclusive use private events and conferences. The luxury destinations have also been successful launch venues with celebrity guests, team building retreats and unique conferences or meetings.
A simple one and a half hour journey time from London will see your guests and delegates aboard one of these two impressive sea fortresses. At the Solent Forts, business meets pleasure and you literally wave goodbye to the traditional, stuffy boardrooms while watching the waves beneath you.
Windows look out onto the Solent, the top deck provides unrivalled sea views and the bedrooms encompass original features to create a stylish yet nautical atmosphere.
No Man’s Fort is the larger of the two and can cater for up to 200 delegates in the mess hall. Function rooms are fitted with the very latest AV equipment and all events come with a dedicated ‘above and beyond’ team to ensure your wedding, party or conference goes ahead without a hitch.
Spitbank Fort is awash with character and style, just like No Man’s Fort only smaller and more intimate. The unique interior and quirky surroundings will help delegates achieve their goals as the creativity, hard work and ideas flow. Again, all function rooms are fitted with state-of-the-art equipment and can be flexible to accommodate parties of varying sizes.
A memorable visit is guaranteed aboard the two most unique and luxurious hotel destinations in the UK. The depth of history can be noted throughout each of the properties and an array of entertainment is available on both forts. Wine and rum tasting, fire-pits on top deck, wine caves, RIB rides and rooftop hot tubs are just some of the activities available for guests or delegates during their visit. No Man’s Fort is also home to a LaZer Tag arena, perfect for adults of all ages wishing to burn off some steam after a long day of brainstorming and forward thinking.
Delegates are invited on a day or overnight basis. Delegates who stay the night are welcomed to toast their hard days work on top deck at sunset before retreating to the mess hall for dinner and a peaceful nights rest in one of the luxurious bedrooms or suites.
