Hampshire Conference Bureau Portsmouth Familiarisation Weekend

Hampshire Conference Bureau to increase conferences and events in Portsmouth.

In a bid to increase conference traffic, and to profile Portsmouth as the destination to hold events, the Hampshire Conference Bureau held a familiarisation event for agents across England.

The event took place over the weekend of Friday 16th-18th of October, and saw agents introduced to a variety of venues across Portsmouth.
Starting at the Portsmouth Guildhall on Friday 16th October, guests were welcomed with drinks and dinner before enjoying an evening with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.

On Saturday 17th guests visited the Historic Dockyard and their many attractions including HMS Warrior amongst others, before attending a networking lunch.

Guests were also given time to explore Gunwharf Quays and the Emirates Spinnaker Tower which was celebrating its 10th birthday.

The weekend concluded with a boat trip to No Man’s Land Fort for Champagne, canapés and a tour of the fascinating venue.

“The weekend arranged by Hampshire Conference Bureau provided a unique insight into the more unusual M&E facilities in and around Portsmouth, whilst also providing great opportunity to meet with accommodation providers in the area – a truly memorable weekend.” Joelle Locke, InCorporate Venues

“It was a pleasure to work with Hampshire Conference Bureau and meet the agents and their guests, showcasing what Portsmouth has to offer.” Andy Grays, Portsmouth Guildhall.
