Join The Party As Spinnaker Tower Marks 10th Birthday

Spinnaker Tower – the iconic 170 metre viewing tower overlooking Portsmouth Harbour – is excited to celebrate its 10th birthday throughout 2015, with a variety of thrilling events planned to mark this significant milestone.

The Spinnaker Tower was opened in 2005 as part of the centrepiece of the Renaissance of Portsmouth Harbour Project and has swiftly become the South coast’s most prominent landmark, with its striking sail design representing the city’s proud naval heritage. Soaring proudly above Portsmouth harbour, the world class tourist attraction offers visitors spectacular 350° panoramic views and a different perspective on one of the most fascinating seascapes on earth.

Sarah Webb, General Manager at Spinnaker Tower, commented: “I’m delighted to be at the helm of the Spinnaker Tower as we mark this important moment in the Tower’s history. Over the past ten years, we’ve welcomed nearly 3 million visitors, delivering a memorable experience to each and every guest.”

As well as the Spinnaker Tower, Continuum Attractions currently have six other visitor attractions in its portfolio, each one delivering a rich cultural experience and a memorable day out. Attractions include York’s Chocolate Story, opened in 2012 and in 2014, Coronation Street – The Tour; a limited time only experience giving visitors access to original sets, behind the scenes stories and the famous cobbles of this much loved soap opera.

The Spinnaker Tower is open daily from 10.00am to 6.00pm (excluding Christmas Day).
